An over-the-counter nighttime cold and flu liquid product containing acetaminophen 650 mg (pain reliever/fever reducer), dextromethorphan HBr 30 mg (cough suppressant), and doxylamine succinate 12.5 mg (antihistamine).

Uses

Temporarily relieves common cold and flu symptoms including minor aches and pains, headache, sore throat, fever, runny nose, sneezing, and cough.

Dosage

Adults and children 12 years and over: 30 mL every 6 hours. Do not exceed 4 doses in 24 hours. Use the provided dosing cup only. Children under 12: do not use.

Side Effects

Excitability may occur, especially in children. Marked drowsiness may occur. Avoid alcoholic drinks and operating machinery.

Interactions

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if taking sedatives, tranquilizers, or warfarin.

Warnings

Liver warning: Severe liver damage may occur if more than 4,000 mg of acetaminophen is taken in 24 hours or with concurrent use of other acetaminophen products. Severe skin reactions are possible. Do not use with MAOIs or within 2 weeks of stopping them.
