Uses

Temporarily relieves common cold and flu symptoms including minor aches and pains, sore throat, headache, stuffy nose, cough intensity, nasal congestion, and helps loosen mucus.

Dosage

Children 6 to under 12 years: 10 mL every 4 hours. Do not exceed 5 doses in 24 hours. Children under 6: do not use.

Side Effects

Stop use and ask a doctor if nervousness, dizziness, or sleeplessness occur, or if symptoms worsen or persist beyond specified timeframes.

Interactions

Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if the child is taking warfarin (blood thinner). Do not use with MAOIs.

Warnings

Liver warning: Liver damage may occur if child takes more than 5 doses in 24 hours. Acetaminophen may cause severe skin reactions including reddening, blisters, and rash. Do not use with other acetaminophen-containing drugs.
