An over-the-counter nighttime cold and flu relief product containing acetaminophen 325 mg (pain reliever/fever reducer), dextromethorphan HBr 15 mg (cough suppressant), and doxylamine succinate 6.25 mg (antihistamine) in softgel form.

Uses

Temporarily relieves common cold and flu symptoms including cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation, sore throat, headache, minor aches and pains, fever, runny nose, and sneezing.

Dosage

Adults and children 12 years and over: 2 softgels with water every 6 hours. Do not exceed 8 softgels per 24 hours. Children 4 to under 12: consult a doctor. Children under 4: do not use.

Side Effects

Marked drowsiness may occur. Do not use more than directed. Avoid driving and operating machinery. Excitability may occur especially in children.

Interactions

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if taking sedatives, tranquilizers, or warfarin.

Warnings

Severe liver damage may occur if you take more than 8 softgels in 24 hours or with other acetaminophen products. Acetaminophen may cause severe skin reactions. Do not use with MAOIs or within 2 weeks of stopping an MAOI.
