An over-the-counter daytime cold and flu liquid product containing acetaminophen 325 mg (pain reliever/fever reducer), dextromethorphan HBr 10 mg (cough suppressant), and phenylephrine HCl 5 mg (nasal decongestant).

Uses

Temporarily alleviates common cold and flu symptoms including nasal congestion, cough, sore throat, headache, minor aches, pains, and fever.

Dosage

Adults and children 12 years and over: 30 mL every 4 hours. Children 6 to under 12 years: 15 mL every 4 hours. Children 4 to under 6: consult a doctor. Children under 4: do not use. Maximum 4 doses per 24 hours.

Side Effects

Stop use and ask a doctor if nervousness, dizziness, insomnia, worsening symptoms, or fever lasting beyond 3 days occur.

Interactions

Do not use with other acetaminophen-containing products or concurrent MAOI medications.

Warnings

Liver damage risk with acetaminophen overdose or concurrent use with other acetaminophen products. Severe skin reactions possible. Not for use with MAOIs or within 2 weeks of stopping MAOI therapy.
