Uses

Temporarily relieves common cold and flu symptoms including nasal congestion, cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation, sore throat, headache, minor aches and pains, and fever.

Dosage

Adults and children 12 years and over: take 2 softgels with water every 4 hours. Do not exceed 4 doses per 24 hours. Children 4 to under 12 years: ask a doctor. Children under 4: do not use.

Side Effects

Stop use and ask a doctor if nervousness, dizziness, insomnia, or worsening symptoms occur lasting beyond specified timeframes.

Interactions

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if taking warfarin (blood thinner). Avoid concurrent acetaminophen-containing products and MAOIs.

Warnings

Liver damage risk with excessive use or concurrent acetaminophen products. Severe allergic skin reactions possible. Sore throat persisting beyond 2 days warrants medical evaluation. Do not use with MAOIs or within 2 weeks of stopping.
