Uses
Indicated for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris in patients 9 years of age and older.
Dosage
Apply a thin film to affected areas of the face and/or trunk once daily after washing. Use a pea-sized amount per facial area. Avoid the eyes, lips, and mucous membranes.
Side Effects
Most common adverse reactions (1% or greater) include dry skin, contact dermatitis, application site burning or irritation, and skin irritation.
Interactions
Concomitant topical acne therapy should be used with caution because of possible cumulative irritancy.
Warnings
Avoid exposure to sunlight and sunlamps. Local cutaneous reactions such as erythema, scaling, dryness, and stinging or burning are common in the first 4 weeks of treatment. Avoid waxing and use of other potentially irritating topical products.
Pregnancy
Should be used during pregnancy only if the potential benefit justifies the risk to the fetus.
Storage
Store at 20 to 25 degrees C (68 to 77 degrees F) in original container, protected from light.
