Combination OTC medication containing brompheniramine maleate (antihistamine), dextromethorphan HBr (cough suppressant), and phenylephrine HCl (nasal decongestant) for temporary relief of cold and allergy symptoms.

Uses

Temporarily relieves cough due to throat and bronchial irritation with colds, nasal congestion from colds, hay fever, or respiratory allergies, and hay fever symptoms including nasal drainage, sneezing, and itchy eyes.

Dosage

Adults and children 12 years and over: 20 mL every 4 hours. Children 6 to under 12: 10 mL every 4 hours. Children under 6: do not use. Maximum 6 doses in 24 hours.

Side Effects

May cause drowsiness. Excitability may occur especially in children.

Interactions

Do not use with MAOIs or within 2 weeks of stopping MAOIs. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if taking sedatives or tranquilizers.
