Combination OTC medication containing brompheniramine maleate (antihistamine) and dextromethorphan hydrobromide (cough suppressant) for temporary relief of cold and allergy symptoms.

Uses

Temporarily relieves cough, runny nose, sneezing, and itching of nose and throat. Also addresses itchy, watery eyes from hay fever or respiratory allergies.

Dosage

Adults and children 12 years and over: 20 mL every 4 hours. Children 6 to 11 years: 10 mL every 4 hours. Maximum 6 doses per 24 hours. Not for children under 6.

Side Effects

May cause marked drowsiness. Excitability may occur especially in children.

Interactions

Do not use with MAOIs or within 2 weeks of stopping MAOIs. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if taking sedatives or tranquilizers.
