Budesonide nasal spray is a glucocorticoid nasal allergy symptom reliever containing 32 mcg per spray for temporary relief of hay fever and upper respiratory allergy symptoms.
Uses
Temporarily relieves symptoms of hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies: nasal congestion, runny nose, itchy nose, and sneezing.
Dosage
Adults and children 12 years and over: spray 2 times in each nostril daily; reduce to 1 time when symptoms improve. Children 6 to under 12: adult supervision required; start 1 time daily, may increase to 2 times if needed. Children under 6: do not use.
Side Effects
Growth rate in children may be slower. Symptoms may improve day one but up to two weeks may be needed for full relief.
Warnings
Stop use if you have or come in contact with chickenpox, measles, or tuberculosis; develop infection symptoms; experience vision changes; or have severe nosebleeds. Ask a doctor before use if you have recent nose ulcers or surgery, unhealed nose injury, are using steroids, have an eye infection, or have a history of glaucoma or cataracts.
Pregnancy
Ask a health professional before use if pregnant or breast-feeding.
Storage
Store at 20-25 degrees C (68-77 degrees F). Do not freeze. Protect from light.
