Dosage

The usual maintenance dose is 1 or 2 capsules, 3 or 4 times a day administered before meals and at bedtime. For elderly patients, initial dosing should not exceed 2 capsules daily with gradual increases as needed.

Side Effects

Common side effects include dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, and nausea. Drowsiness, coordination problems, and confusion may occur, particularly in elderly patients.
