Topical cream combining clotrimazole (azole antifungal) and betamethasone dipropionate (corticosteroid). Each gram contains 10 mg clotrimazole and 0.64 mg betamethasone dipropionate in a hydrophilic cream base.

Topical cream combining clotrimazole (azole antifungal) and betamethasone dipropionate (corticosteroid). Each gram contains 10 mg clotrimazole and 0.64 mg betamethasone dipropionate in a hydrophilic cream base.

Uses

Indicated for the topical treatment of symptomatic inflammatory tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis in patients 17 years and older, caused by specified dermatophyte species.

Dosage

Apply thin film twice daily; tinea corporis/cruris for 1 week (max 2 weeks); tinea pedis for 2 weeks (max 4 weeks). Maximum 45g weekly. Not for oral, ophthalmic, or intravaginal use.

Side Effects

Most common: paresthesia (1.9%), rash, edema, secondary infections (less than 1%). Postmarketing reports include skin atrophy, itching, irritation, and vision problems.

Warnings

Risk of HPA axis suppression, especially in pediatric patients. Not recommended for diaper dermatitis. May increase cataracts/glaucoma risk.

Pregnancy
