Cough suppressant containing Dextromethorphan HBr 15 mg per 5 mL.

Uses

Temporarily relieves cough due to minor throat and bronchial irritation as may occur with the common cold or inhaled irritants.

Dosage

Adults/children 12+: 10 mL every 6-8 hours (max 4 doses/24 hrs). Children 6-11: 5 mL every 6-8 hours (max 4 doses/24 hrs). Under 6: do not use. Shake well before using.

Side Effects

Do not use more than directed. Stop use and ask a doctor if cough lasts more than 7 days, cough comes back, or occurs with fever, rash or headache.

Interactions

Ask a doctor before use if you have cough that occurs with too much phlegm or chronic cough such as occurs with smoking, asthma, or emphysema.

Warnings

Do not use if you are now taking a prescription monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI). Ask a doctor before use if you have cough that occurs with too much phlegm (mucus) or chronic cough.

Storage

Store between 20-25 degrees C (68-77 degrees F). Do not refrigerate.
