Overview

Cough suppressant, expectorant, and nasal decongestant containing Dextromethorphan HBr 5mg, Guaifenesin 100mg, and Phenylephrine HCl 2.5mg per 5 mL.

Uses

Helps loosen mucus and thin secretions to make coughs productive. Temporarily relieves cough from throat and bronchial irritation, nasal congestion, and stuffy nose.

Dosage

Ages 6-12: 10 mL every 4 hours. Ages 4-6: 5 mL every 4 hours. Under 4: do not use. Maximum 6 doses per 24 hours.

Side Effects

Stop use and consult doctor if nervousness, dizziness, sleeplessness occur, symptoms persist beyond 7 days with fever, or cough lasts more than 7 days.

Interactions

Do not use with prescription MAOIs. Ask a doctor before use if child has heart disease, high blood pressure, thyroid disease, or diabetes.
