Esterified estrogens and methyltestosterone tablet containing 0.625 mg esterified estrogens USP and 1.25 mg methyltestosterone USP.
Uses
Indicated for moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause in patients not improved by estrogens alone.
Dosage
Treated patients with an intact uterus should be monitored closely for signs of endometrial cancer. Use lowest effective dose for shortest duration.
Side Effects
Includes breakthrough bleeding, nausea, vomiting, headache, virilization in females, fluid retention, and liver function changes.
Interactions
Oral anticoagulants require close monitoring; oxyphenbutazone may elevate serum levels; insulin requirements may decrease.
Warnings
Estrogens have been reported to increase the risk of endometrial carcinoma. Estrogens should not be used during pregnancy. Risk of thromboembolic disease, gallbladder disease, and hepatic adenoma. Discontinue 4 weeks before surgery with thromboembolism risk. Contraindicated with known/suspected breast cancer, pregnancy, undiagnosed abnormal genital bleeding, active thrombophlebitis, severe liver damage.

Category X - Use may cause severe harm to the fetus. Contraindicated in pregnancy. Decision needed whether to discontinue nursing or drug.
Storage
Store at 20-25C (68-77F); excursions permitted to 15-30C (59-86F). Keep out of reach of children.
