11 DESCRIPTION The active ingredients in ORKAMBI tablets are lumacaftor, which has the following chemical name: 3-[6-({[1-(2,2-difluoro-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)cyclopropyl]carbonyl}amino)-3-methylpyridin-2-yl]benzoic acid, and ivacaftor, a CFTR potentiator, which has the following chemical name: N -(2,4-di-tert-butyl-5-hydroxyphenyl)-1,4-dihydro-4-oxoquinoline-3-carboxamide. The molecular formula for lumacaftor is C 24 H 18 F 2 N 2 O 5 and for ivacaftor is C 24 H 28 N 2 O 3 .
