Dosage

20-40 mg omeprazole once daily. Dosage varies by indication (4-12 weeks). Take intact capsule on empty stomach one hour before meals.

Side Effects

Common: headache, abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, flatulence. Serious: acute tubulointerstitial nephritis, C. difficile-associated diarrhea, bone fractures with long-term use.
